Church Foundations 01
This post is a bit longer than normal, but please take a quiet moment to read all the way to the end.
We have all seen how Covid-19 has turned the world upside down. Every morning the news updates us with the stark statistics, and across the forums and Facebook pages we see a common thread of disquiet and uncertainty.
Because we have the absolute certainties of God and His Word, we can walk in the peace of His promises.
Ps 111:7-8
The works of His hands are verity and justice; All His precepts are sure.
8 They stand fast forever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
We know that His Word is true, His promises are sure and that He cares for us in truth and righteousness.
As we move into a new season in the church, we know that we too must move and act in that truth and righteousness, with everything open to the light of His Word.
You have the right to know what your pastors and leaders believe and why, and to see where God is directing us for this new season.
From Friday to Sunday you will be able to read here about what has grown out of our interaction with the leadership of FTK and Kingfisher as we prepare to take up the calling to River of Life.
The messages build on each other, and link out to everyone. We’ll be asking you to read them prayerfully, to draw aside and to let God speak with you personally.
Sure, writing is not the same as being together and talking. Speaking face to face allows for the vitality of body language, voice, and facial expressions.
But it’s the way things are, so in our writing we will always strive to speak clearly, and in turn we ask that you strive to hear what we say just as clearly. If you have a question, you will be able to contact us directly.
As for today, we know that “Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God”. _(Ps 92:13)_ Blessings. Ps A & J
